The City Boys Movement (CBM) in Plateau State on Monday, September 21, 2026, held its State Working Committee Inauguration, Town Hall Meeting, Membership Drive Launch and Unveiling of *Operation Rock Solid* — a blueprint to mobilise *One Million Votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Caleb Mutfwang* in the 2027 general elections.

The event, held at *Crispan Hotel Hall, Jos*, with the theme *“Our Plateau, Our Future,”* attracted members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), political stakeholders and supporters of pro-Tinubu groups.

The movement said it has inaugurated its Plateau State chapter as part of its grassroots mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 polls, with a target of one million votes for President Tinubu in the state.

*National DG Charges Executives on Grassroots Engagement*

Speaking at the event, the National Director-General of the movement, *Hon. Francis Shoga*, urged the newly inaugurated executives to take the organisation’s message to every corner of Plateau State.

Shoga said their responsibility extends beyond occupying leadership positions, urging them to engage women, schools, institutions and communities at the grassroots on the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration, and to work closely with the APC as active representatives of the movement in their communities.

The newly appointed state executives subsequently took their oath of office, administered by *Barrister Olusegun Ogedengbe.*

*32-Man Target Per Member Under Operation Rock Solid*

The Plateau State Director of the movement, *Hon. Prince David Daser*, said the organisation has established coordinators across polling units, wards and local government areas.

According to Daser, the movement is activating its grassroots structure under Operation Rock Solid, with members expected to mobilise through families, communities, religious groups and other social networks.

He announced a target for each member to mobilise *at least 32 persons* in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid, a strategy aimed at achieving the one-million-vote target.

Daser added that the movement will sustain engagement with residents on what it described as projects and appointments secured by the Tinubu administration in Plateau State.

*Mutfwang, Lalong Sue for Inclusiveness*

Plateau State Governor, *Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang*, while commending the initiative, urged the movement to remain open and work with other APC structures and support groups.

Mutfwang cautioned against turning the movement into an exclusive organisation, stressing the need to carry other stakeholders along, and urged the new executives to take their activities beyond the inauguration venue to communities across the state.

Also speaking, former Plateau State Governor and former Director-General of the Tinubu Campaign Council in 2023, *Senator Simon Bako Lalong*, commended the movement for mobilising young people in support of President Tinubu.

Lalong encouraged the youth to sustain mobilisation across the state, describing the one-million-vote target as a starting point.

*Town Hall Strategy Commended*

One of the State Patrons of the movement, *Hon. Ephraim Usman*, said it gives him immense joy to see the City Boy Movement embrace town halls and direct community dialogues as its primary strategy for youth mobilisation.

The inauguration was preceded by a strategic engagement at the *New Government House, Rayfield*, with Governor Mutfwang, alongside APC National Chairman and Movement Patron, *Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda*, National DG Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, North Central Coordinator *Amb. Abdul Fatah Yaya Seriki* and other distinguished leaders.

The movement said its statewide town hall tour and membership drive will continue in the coming weeks.
